Privacy Policy
This policy explains how ProspectLayer collects, uses, stores, secures, and manages personal data and platform data across accounts, workspaces, apps, billing, and related services.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to ProspectLayer websites, applications, workspaces, billing systems, app store experiences, developer ecosystem features, customer support interactions, and related platform services.
It also applies to data handled in connection with subscriptions, one-time purchases, workspace app installation, usage records, and supported payment workflows.
2. Information we collect
We may collect account details such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, login details, workspace membership details, billing contact details, and related administrative information.
We may collect workspace and usage data such as installed apps, plan selections, storage usage, subscription state, one-time purchases, entitlements, activity logs, audit signals, and feature usage events.
We may collect transaction and billing data, including payment processor references, currency, region, tax-related fields, invoice data, plan changes, subscription state, proration records, and renewal events.
We may collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, cookie identifiers, session data, diagnostic logs, and interaction events.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide, maintain, secure, bill, improve, and support the platform and its workspaces, apps, APIs, developer features, and operational services.
We use information to manage accounts, authenticate users, administer workspaces, process subscriptions and one-time payments, align billing cycles, calculate prorations, and manage service access.
We may also use information for fraud prevention, abuse prevention, analytics, product improvement, legal compliance, service notices, and customer communications.
4. Workspaces, apps, and billing context
Because apps are installed into specific workspaces, ProspectLayer may process workspace-specific entitlement and billing data to determine which apps are active in which workspace and under what commercial terms.
Where additional apps are added to a subscribed workspace, ProspectLayer may process billing and usage data necessary to apply prorated charges and later full-cycle renewals.
We may process region, currency, and payment-method information to route billing through supported processors such as Paystack, Flutterwave, Stripe, or other processors where applicable.
5. Payment processors
Payment transactions may be processed by third-party providers rather than directly by ProspectLayer. Depending on geography and configuration, this may include Paystack, Flutterwave, Stripe, and related partners.
Those providers may collect and process payment information under their own policies. ProspectLayer typically receives limited billing, status, and transaction information needed to manage subscriptions, purchases, invoices, and account state.
We do not state here that we store full raw payment card data unless explicitly supported and lawfully handled through compliant infrastructure.
6. Legal bases and compliance
Where applicable, we process personal data based on contractual necessity, legitimate interests, consent, legal obligation, or other lawful bases recognised by applicable law.
The applicable legal basis may depend on the nature of the service, the type of data, the jurisdiction involved, and the specific platform interaction.
8. Data retention
We retain personal data and workspace data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain records, and support legitimate business operations.
Retention periods may vary depending on account status, workspace settings, app configuration, billing state, support history, audit requirements, applicable law, and storage policies.
9. Security
ProspectLayer uses technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect data against unauthorised access, misuse, loss, alteration, or disclosure.
These measures may include role-based access controls, logging, monitoring, transport security, data isolation, audit visibility, billing controls, and other reasonable operational safeguards.
No system is completely immune from risk, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International operations
ProspectLayer may operate across different regions, and data may be processed or accessed in jurisdictions other than the user’s location, subject to appropriate operational, contractual, and legal safeguards where applicable.
Regional billing, payments, contracting, and operational support may be handled through different structures depending on geography.
11. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, consent withdrawal, or complaint submission.
Workspace administrators may also control certain workspace-level settings, app access, retention behaviour, billing state, and membership controls affecting how data is handled in that workspace.
12. Children
ProspectLayer is not intended for children under the minimum age required by applicable law for use of the service. We do not knowingly design the platform for child-directed use.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product, legal, operational, security, or commercial changes.
Updated versions become effective when posted unless another effective date is stated.
14. Contact
For privacy questions, data requests, or related concerns, please use the official ProspectLayer contact channels published on the platform.
